Travelin' Man

As part of my job, I have had quite a few opportunities for travel around the US and the Globe.  So while I am not as seasoned a traveler as some, I've probably flown well over 250,000 miles in my time. Which means lots of hours spent in airports. The way to survive airports is to look at your trip in three parts. Preparing for your trip and getting to the airport, the flight including the time sitting in airports, and finally, your activities in your new location.

For a moment pretend we are in the future and we have perfected matter transference for humans (beam me up!). Our travel is still comprised of three parts, but the second part occurs instantly instead of over hours. And the first and third parts of travel remain the same.

So the trick is to take those hours spent in airports and in flight and compartmentalize them. Treat them as occurring in a split second. Regardless of the hours spent and the frustration felt, once you are at your destination, place no more thought on that time spent getting there than if it had occurred instantly.

Therefore, mass transference in micro-seconds from here to there has already arrived. We only have to train our brains to agree.
